Adobe MAX, one of the largest creativity conferences, is officially behind us. For 5 days 10,000 attendees, enjoyed sessions, labs and presentations from 200+ speakers including Quentin Tarantino, Bart Simpson, Zac Posen and more. We sent our VP of Sales Dan Lion and Designer Ron Domingue to San Diego on behalf of PixelSquid to join in on the fun. They enjoyed sessions from Photoshop pros like Corey Barker who mentioned PixelSquid in his “A Designers Guide To Using 3D” class.
Stories about new 3D initiatives from tech industry giants have been everywhere the past few weeks. Adobe just unveiled Project Felix at Adobe MAX, a new stand-alone 3D app created for graphic designers, and Microsoft announced their goal to bring “3D to everyone” by showing off a modernized version of Paint for Windows 10. These are exciting times for the industry, and these announcements are in line with what we’ve been building towards with PixelSquid for the past 18 months.
Adobe MAX is happening this week. PixelSquid is sending our VP of Sales, Dan Lion, and our Designer, Ron Domingue, to San Diego this week to attend. There are over 200 sessions to choose from, but these 5 are some of the ones we’re most looking forward to attending:
Imagine being able to work with materials, lights, and models to create an asset without leaving your studio or learning 3D. Attend this session with Principal Product Manager, Zorana Gee as she takes through a workflow designed for graphic designers using a totally new tool she’s working on at Adobe. Learn how you can create high-quality images with photo-realistic fidelity using 3D techniques without labor intensive workflows or learning complex applications. No experience with 3D is needed.
Adobe MAX is right around the corner and we can’t wait! If you’ve never been, Adobe MAX is an annual gathering of over 9,000 leaders, designers, developers, strategists, video pros, photographers and more. For two days, attendees get hands-on training through MAX sessions and labs taught by industry-leading professionals.
Our VP of Sales Dan Lion and Designer Ron Domingue will be in attendance on behalf of PixelSquid this year. They’ve got a long list of sessions they’re excited about, including a talk led by Zorana Gee, the Senior Product Manager at Adobe Photoshop. Keep up with them during the event via Twitter @RealDanLion (Dan) & @rondomingue (Ron). If you’re in San Diego, feel free to say hi when you spot them; they may even have a few PixelSquid shirts and stickers on-hand.
If you can’t make it out to San Diego for the conference, don’t worry! You can still follow along online by registering here: https://max.adobe.com/blog/#posts/sign-up-now-to-watch-max-online. We’ll also be live-tweeting and sharing our favorite moments from Adobe MAX on Twitter, so join the conversation and make sure you’re following us @PixelSquid360!
When you think of enormous objects like spaceships, bomber planes or ships like the Titanic, it can be hard to truly grasp their size. That’s why Kevin Wisbith used PixelSquid to create A Quick Perspective, a series of images that place famous objects in everyday environments to give you a sense of their size. Keep reading to see more of the images in Kevin’s series.
PixelSquid has come a long way in the 19 months since we launched, but we’re just getting started. Huge thanks to everyone who has become a part of our quickly growing community and has made PixelSquid part of their design workflow. We’ve been listening to your feedback, and in the coming months you’ll see the library continue to grow with user-requested content. We’re also working on many powerful new features that have been requested by our users. We love seeing what you all have been creating and sharing through social media.
